Summer Craft Fair Serves Up Chic, Cool Finds
HOLETOWN, BARBADOS – After the buzz of a sizzling Crop Over festival, the Palm Courtyard emerged as a cool hangout spot for craft lovers and enthusiasts on Saturday, August 9.
Visitors browsed tables and stalls at which more than 20 local artisans displayed a wishlist-worthy lineup of crafts and custom art. From colorful headbands and tutus for children to chic, tropical-themed handbags, it was a shopper’s delight.
Craft fair exhibitors included Island Bags by Esther Hunte and photographer Sue Holder. Gallery NuEdge also hosted Barbadian artist Terrence Rupert Piggott, who gave guests a firsthand look at his creative process by painting on location.
The final of the annual Limegrove Craft Fairs takes place December 6, 2014 and is tipped to be another exciting opportunity to buy local crafts in Barbados.
