Limegrove Night Out
HOLETOWN, BARBADOS – Music, dancing and great food had Limegrove Lifestyle Centre buzzing with activity on Friday, November 20th. The highly anticipated ‘Limegrove Night Out’, held in celebration of the Barbados Food & Wine and Rum Festival brought locals and visitors to Barbados all to the Centre for late night shopping and some special live performances.
The evening began with the soulful sounds of local artiste, Alex Mills, who serenaded the growing crowd in the Palm Courtyard. He was followed by the high energy of Kite, a crowd favourite. Patrons enjoyed wine and rum cocktails served by the Lime Bar in conjunction with Mount Gay and soon every corner of the courtyard was filled as everyone waited for the closing act of the night, Brass Soul. Barbados’ biggest R & B Soul band did not disappoint and Limegrove’s iconic sculpture, Marge, was quickly surrounded by dancers of all ages.
“Limegrove Night Out was a fabulous experience incorporating shopping, dining and an incredible line up of live entertainment,” says Patricia McKenzie, General Manager, Limegrove Lifestyle Centre, “the dancing continued late into the night and this was the perfect way to celebrate alongside the official Barbados Food & Wine and Rum Festival event that happened upstairs at Fusion Rooftop. We thank all of our sponsors, our tenants and everyone who came by for their support. Special mention must be made of our performers Alex, Kite and Brass Soul and of course, Chef John Hazzard, who provided late night bites. We can’t wait to do it again!”
Sponsors for the evening included Altman Real Estate, Apes Hill Club, CGM Gallagher Group, Diamond’s International, Flow, ICBL, Republic Bank and Williams Industries.
